Heroic Academy is a music education company headquartered in The Netherlands. We provide educational material such as articles, books and courses about music marketing, mixing and mastering. Our mission is to Empower Creators.

 

As General Manager you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations and growth of the organization. This includes online marketing, funnel optimization, content strategy, product strategy, brand & affiliate partnerships and website upkeep.

 

You’ll work closely with our founders and our Student Success Manager. This opportunity will provide a 360-degree understanding of online marketing in the music industry. You will have a lot of autonomy, lead a team and help shape the growth of our company. We need someone who is entrepreneurial. Compensation will be performance based.

Responsibilities:

  • Brand & affiliate partnerships: Identifying and partnering with affiliates in the music education space who have products that may be valuable to our audience. Executing affiliate launches by creating campaigns and integrating new email segments into our funnels.

  • Funnel optimisation: Improving the performance of our email funnel and websites; lead generation, open rates, click through rates, A/B testing, sales pages, copywriting.

  • Email and article copywriting: Creating and updating emails, articles and products with clear copy and call to actions. Ensuring that our articles stay up-to-date.

  • Website & software stack maintenance: Our online business revolves around our website, email automation, product and course software. You will be trained to become familiar with this software stack and will need to fix problems should they arise.

  • Content & product strategy: Developing and executing strategies to grow our output of articles and products; creating an editorial and product team, developing an editorial and product calendar, maintaining quality and overseeing launches and related content marketing and integration in our email funnel.

  • Performance management: Monitoring and reporting the KPIs of the business to the team and founders and using goal-setting methodology to sustain growth.

Requirements

Experience in a leadership or entrepreneurial role. You’ve led a team of people in a complex high-pressure environment or (have) run your own business.

  • Experience with online marketing, email automatisation and conversion optimisation. You understand how digital products are sold and how email funnels are put together. Experience with ActiveCampaign is a bonus.

  • Experienced with Wordpress. CSS and any coding skills are a plus.

  • Copywriting and editorial skills. You’re a good writer and can write to inform and sell.

  • Methodical system thinker

  • Excellent command of the English language (Dutch is a bonus)

  • Excited about taking on a highly autonomous role where you can make a difference

  • Able to work 25+ hours/week, preferably 40/hours/week.

  • Ability to come into our offices in The Hague, NL is a bonus.
